Courtney Yaremchuk to facilitate farm succession workshop at AgEx 2026

MLT Aikins lawyer Courtney Yaremchuk will facilitate a concurrent workshop at the Agricultural Excellence Conference (AgEx), taking place November 17–19, 2026, in Calgary.
Hosted by Farm Management Canada, AgEx brings together farmers, advisers and industry leaders to explore issues shaping farm business management. This year’s conference, themed “Growing Leaders, Strengthening Legacies,” will feature programming focused on areas including financial and risk management, leadership, emerging technologies and farm transition planning.
As part of the conference, Courtney will present “Built to Last: The Legal Toolkit to Protect the Family Farm Across Generations.” The workshop will be offered during the concurrent sessions at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18 and 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 19.
This practical session will explore legal tools farm families can use to protect their operations and prepare for intergenerational transitions. Courtney will discuss why succession planning extends beyond a will and how starting the process early can give families more options and time to have important conversations about the future of the farm.
MLT Aikins lawyer John Davidson will also attend the conference.
