MLT Aikins is proud to announce that Saskatoon partner John Agioritis has been appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.).

The King’s Counsel designation is an honorary title granted to lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession and public service. This year’s appointments were announced by Saskatchewan’s Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Tim McLeod, on December 18, 2025, recognizing distinguished lawyers across the province.

This year’s recipients “represent a wide range of expertise and knowledge across Saskatchewan’s legal community,” said Minister McLeod. “We are honoured to acknowledge the dedicated and talented legal professionals in Saskatchewan through the King’s Counsel designations.”

John was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2004 and the Alberta Bar in 2021. He assists corporate clients in navigating regulatory investigations and matters of compliance, risk and crisis response, with a significant emphasis on occupational health and safety law, as well as environmental matters, tax and competition law.

Throughout his career, John has appeared before numerous courts and tribunals, including the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal and the Tax Court of Canada. He is widely recognized for his ability to guide clients through complex, high-stakes regulatory investigations, trials and appeals.

Please join us in congratulating John on this well-deserved achievement.
