On July 10, 2026, U.S. industrial refrigeration platform, Industrial Refrigeration Pros (IR Pros), announced its acquisition of Winnipeg refrigeration, ice plant and mechanical solutions specialist Prairie HVAC/R. The purchase of Prairie HVAC/R is IR Pros’ first acquisition of an operating company headquartered in Canada, marking a new international chapter for the organization.
“Canada has been on our radar for a long time, and Prairie HVAC/R was always the company we admired most,” said IR Pros CEO Curtis Czemeres. “This is more than our first acquisition north of the border – it’s the start of a cross-border partnership we intend to build on for years.”
