MLT Aikins acted as counsel to Loveday Mushroom Farms in its recent sale to South Mill Champs.
Based out of Winnipeg, MB, Loveday Mushroom Farms is Canada’s longest-running producer of fresh mushrooms. Loveday is a leader in the use of advanced agtech and modern production techniques to supply a wide range of high quality mushrooms throughout the food service industry in Western Canada.
South Mill Champs is one of the largest mushroom growers in North America. The company supplies more than 110 million pounds of mushrooms annually throughout North America. Both Loveday Mushroom Farms and South Mill Champs were founded in 1932.
Loveday Mushroom Farms and South Mill Champs have joined together to meet growing market demands as consumers increasingly recognize the health benefits of mushrooms. Loveday Mushroom Farm’s geographic location complements South Mill Champs’s operations and will help expand the company’s production capabilities and reach to major populations across North America.
