Ian is an articling student based in the firm’s Regina office.

Ian obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2023. He returns to the Regina office as an articling student after summering with the firm in 2021 and 2022. As a summer student, Ian gained experience conducting legal research and assisted in the preparation and drafting of legal memoranda, pleadings, briefs, agreements and other legal documents. He also attended various court and mediation proceedings.

During law school, Ian was selected to represent the University of Saskatchewan College of Law at the Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, where he and his partner placed third out of sixteen Respondent teams. He was also selected to represent the College of Law at the Canadian National Negotiation Competition.

Prior to entering law school, Ian completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan with a major in finance. He also spent a summer interning at an Indigenous economic development organization.

Outside of the office, Ian enjoys golfing, weightlifting, and snowboarding. He also enjoys volunteering, and spent nearly four years volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatoon before moving to Regina.
