On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, MLT Aikins lawyers Scott Masson and Andrew Konopelny will speak on “Practical Tools: Contract Considerations for Buyers with the Potential of Tariffs” at a webinar hosted by Supply Chain Canada.
In this one-hour webinar, Scott and Andrew will examine the contractual provisions that impact the responsibility for tariffs and provide some recommendations for incorporating tariff related protection in your contract and procurement documents.

- How to allocate risk of future tariffs in your contract documents.
- Understanding and managing the risk of tariff impacts under your existing contracts including claims for force majeure, delay claims and claims for price adjustments.
- Key clauses to look for when reviewing your contract templates and procurement documents.
- Language to consider when preparing or reviewing vendor quotations.
