MLT Aikins is pleased to be a title sponsor for A Conversation with Minister Evan Solomon, presented by The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce on July 7, 2026. The event will bring together business and community leaders to discuss Canada’s new national artificial intelligence strategy and the opportunities it presents for organizations across the country.

The Honourable Evan Solomon, Canada’s Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, will share insights on the federal government’s recently announced AI strategy and what it means for businesses, workers and Canada’s long-term competitiveness. The discussion will explore how artificial intelligence can support innovation, improve productivity and strengthen Canada’s economic future.

As organizations navigate the rapidly evolving technology landscape, issues related to artificial intelligence, intellectual property (IP), privacy and data governance continue to grow in importance. Danielle Graff, Nicolas Joubert and other members of the MLT Aikins Technology, IP and Privacy group will be in attendance to engage in discussions with business leaders and explore the legal and regulatory considerations shaping AI adoption across Canada.

“We are proud to support this important conversation about the future of artificial intelligence and innovation in Canada,” says Danielle. “AI presents a significant opportunity for businesses across Manitoba and the Prairies to enhance global competitiveness, including through investment in solutions and supporting infrastructure. We are pleased to advise clients at the forefront of this evolving landscape.”

The event will take place at Inn at the Forks in Winnipeg and will feature a keynote presentation and fireside chat with Minister Solomon, followed by networking opportunities with members of Manitoba’s business community.
