Based in Regina, Len practises in several areas, including environmental law (mining, oil & gas), real estate development, construction, and diverse light and heavy industry. He represents clients in environmental litigation, and advises on environmental compliance, liability and remediation. Len has acted as counsel, from conception to completion, on major industrial construction projects in both Canada and the U.S. Since 1980, Len has appeared in more than 150 reported judgments, with over 90 at the appellate level, by serving as counsel before administrative tribunals, Saskatchewan and Alberta Courts, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Based in Edmonton, Meaghan has extensive experience in Aboriginal law, constitutional law, environmental and regulatory processes, and other public law matters. She advises Indigenous governments, municipalities and other entities on Indigenous consultation and accommodation, environmental law, as well as processes before public regulators including the Canadian Energy Regulator, the Alberta Energy Regulator, the Alberta Utilities Commission, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, and other provincial and territorial tribunals. Meaghan has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and has experience with appeals, judicial reviews, injunctions and regulatory hearings involving energy and mining developments as well as end-of-life obligations. She has been recognized as a leading practitioner in Aboriginal Law by Lexpert since 2017, and as a leading professional in Energy and Infrastructure in previous Lexpert Special Editions.
Based in Calgary, Scott has a depth of experience in providing advice to companies in the agribusiness and mining sectors including advising on ESG, corporate finance and real estate law. Scott has represented agribusinesses, mining companies, landlords, developers, financial institutions, municipalities and national and multi-national corporations. He is recognized as one of the top 50 most influential people in the Canadian agriculture industry by Canadian Western Agribition. Scott has also lectured on food and agriculture at the College of Law at the University of Calgary and is a frequent presenter on ESG matters.
Rangi practises at our Saskatoon office in the areas of environmental, energy and Indigenous law, including corporate social responsibility. He has advised proponents extensively on permitting for industrial projects, including mining projects, in project decommissioning as well on the environmental and regulatory components of uranium mining and nuclear generation projects. Rangi lectures on environmental law at the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan, and has been honoured by Lexpert Special Edition: Energy since 2019.
Based in Vancouver, Kevin advises clients across a number of industries on capital markets and securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, corporate governance and financing. He advises management and special committees of resource and non-resource clients with respect to initial public offerings, reverse take-over transactions, take-over bids, change of business transactions, corporate governance, securities regulatory matters and listings on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange and Canadian Securities Exchange. Since January 2024, Kevin has served in the practice group coordinator role for Vancouver’s commercial group.
