Lexpert has released its Special Edition: Infrastructure 2022, naming nine MLT Aikins lawyers as leading professionals in the area of infrastructure.

The publication features articles discussing the latest industry developments, trends and legal issues including dispute resolution, government priorities, finance, procurement, contracts and risk.

Len has acted as counsel, from conception to completion, on major industrial construction projects in both Canada and the United States. He has considerable experience in the resolution of construction, equipment procurement, oil and gas development, and other commercial disputes through the courts and inter-provincial and international arbitration.

Daryl Chicoine

Daryl maintains a civil, commercial and construction litigation practice. His construction litigation experience includes builders’ lien legislation, construction projects, and has acted for owners, general contractors and sub-contractors.

Meaghan Conroy

Meaghan assists Indigenous rights-holders and landowners with issues related to natural resource extraction, land development, flood management infrastructure and other environmental matters. She has argued before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, all levels of court in Alberta, the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench and court of appeal.

Douglas Hodson, Q.C.

Doug Hodson focuses on commercial litigation and has significant experience in class actions, transportation law and construction litigation. Doug has argued significant cases before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario and before the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Deron Kuski, Q.C.

Deron practises broadly in the area of litigation which extends to commercial litigation, construction litigation, constitutional law and all aspects of creditor and commercial leasing law. He has particular focus on complex commercial and construction dispute resolution.

John Martens

John is a partner in the Winnipeg office and assist clients in all aspects of construction matters, with a focus on construction litigation. John’s experience in construction matters includes advising on procurements, contracts, and disputes arising on construction projects involving energy, mining, manufacturing, health care, and transportation. He is a regular presenter at the Winnipeg Construction Association.

Shaunt Parthev, Q.C.

Shaunt Parthev focuses on defending complex multi-party claims, with special emphasis on class actions, mining and industrial site litigation, large loss construction claims and insurance actions. Over the years Shaunt has appeared and presented at numerous loss prevention seminars geared towards various professional disciplines including financial planners, risk managers, architects, engineers and surveyors.

William E.J. Skelly

William Skelly focuses on restructuring and insolvency law, commercial lending and real estate. He is widely recognized for his experience with restructuring national and international companies by several legal publications.

Jodi Wildeman, Q.C.

Jodi has extensive experience advising clients on all aspects of energy and infrastructure projects and resolving complex construction and commercial disputes. Her representative work includes major public infrastructure and energy projects in Saskatchewan, including ones implementing novel technology at a commercial scale.
