Program overview:
This event will include interactive presentations, high-level industry panel discussions and strategic conversations between international and Canadian industry leaders on key topics for new nuclear and SMRs, including:
- Nuclear liability versus general tort law
- Transportation of nuclear material and equipment
- Indigenous involvement and environmental stewardship
- Interactions with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission
- Hot topics for planning, construction and execution of projects
- The future of the Canadian nuclear fuel cycle
Each module is designed to provide for discussion and interaction opportunities in support of the program’s objective – successfully delivering nuclear projects in Western Canada.
The event will be hosted under the Chatham House Rules, meaning participants may use any information discussed but cannot reveal the identities of speakers or other participants.
