Michael Weinstein
Michael is an experienced litigator who represents clients in construction law matters, complex commercial disputes and alternative dispute resolution. Michael is frequently consulted by owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects and suppliers to provide strategic advice in connection with construction projects. This includes preparation and review of contract documents, contractual disputes, employment issues, builders’ lien issues, bonding, sureties, insurance and statutory trusts.
Robbie McLellan
Robbie has extensive experience in construction law and supports construction projects from conception to completion. He regularly advises owners and developers on the development, preparation and administration of procurement process. Robbie partners with all project stakeholders while collaboratively developing project strategies to ensure alignment and strong project foundations and helps with dispute resolution strategy and other ongoing assistance once construction projects are live. In addition to assisting owners and developers, Robbie has spent much of his career providing steady guidance and firsthand advice to contractors.
Ryan Lepage
Ryan works with large project owners and sophisticated contractors on a wide range of commercial, industrial and environmental projects. He regularly advises on major projects relating to risk allocation during procurement and claims management during execution. In relation to the latter, he has significant experience both litigating and arbitrating complex construction disputes.
Turner Ralston
Turner’s practice focuses on disputes and contentious matters. He regularly provides advice to clients regarding issues related to trusts, powers of attorney, guardianship orders and health care directives – often in scenarios where there are questions of capacity or concerns about undue influence. In addition, he also frequently advises executors, trustees and other fiduciaries regarding their duties and obligations.
William E. J. Skelly
William Skelly focuses on restructuring and insolvency law, commercial lending and real estate. He is widely recognized for his experience with restructuring national and international companies by several legal publications. An accomplished corporate and commercial lawyer, Bill has worked with many of Canada’s largest financial institutions and court officers in the insolvency and restructuring area. He is a leading practitioner in ABL and CMBS financing.
